Obituary for Sharon Renee Frohman

Sharon Renee Frohman (née DeLong) passed from this life in her home in Maple Grove, MN surrounded by her family on February 9, 2013 after a battle with cancer. Sharon lived a life dedicated to her faith in both word and deed. Sharon was born in Inglewood, California on April 17, 1942. At a young age, her family relocated to the Minneapolis area where Sharon graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1960. During her senior year, Sharon was class Vice President, a member of the National Honor Society and Homecoming Queen. She attended Bethel College and graduated from The University of Minnesota with a degree in Elementary Education in 1964. She taught third grade at Edgerton Elementary School in Maplewood, MN. In July 1965, she wed Enneth Daniel Frohman of Eaton, CO, and relocated to Utica, New York where Enneth was employed with General Electric. While in Utica, she gave birth and reared her three children, Andrea (1969), Bruce (1972) and Carl (1977).

In 1992, Sharon moved to China when Enneth’s job took them there. They spent the next 20 years in the Chinese cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Jinan and Wuhan. During this time, Sharon learned Mandarin Chinese and became active in both the international community and local Chinese churches. After 2005, while living in Wuhan, Sharon became part of an international team devoted to teaching community health education and English in Hubei Province. Sharon influenced many people’s lives both in Utica and in China by leading Bible studies and mentoring young women.

Since 2003 Sharon and Enneth have also kept a home in Maple Grove, MN.

Sharon is survived by her husband Enneth of Maple Grove, MN; her children Andrea Ciasullo (Husband: Michael) of Peachtree City, GA, Bruce (Wife: Sarah) of St. Louis Park, MN and Carl (Wife: Lilah, Children: Caleb and Cole) of Bangkok, Thailand.
