Age 31 of Lauderdale. Preceded in death by grandmother, Charlotte Wiltzius & mother-in-law, Cheryl Streckert. Survived by beloved wife, Angela; baby boy due in October; parents: Randy & Janet Fankhauser; siblings: Gwen (Moses) Deutsch & Eric Fankhauser; nieces: Maria & Sophie; grandparents: Max Wiltzius, Glen & Mary Fankhauser; father-in-law, Ray Streckert; sister-in-law, Katherine (Matt) Ziebol; brother-in-law, Ryan Streckert; grandparents-in-law: Henry Streckert, Sharon & Alfred Buchner; many other loving relatives & friends. John was a research scientist at the University of Minnesota working on his doctorate in the Department of Plant Biology. His generous spirit and loving soul will be dearly missed. Funeral service at EAGLE BROOK CHURCH (8498 Sunset Rd., Spring Lake Park) Friday at 2 PM with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
