Obituary for Helen Kalina

KALINA
Helen (Felegy) age 88, of NE Mpls, died peacefully on October 15. Preceded in death by husband William and parents Susie and John Felegy. Survived by loving children David (Debbie) Kalina, Sandy (Steve) Tomczyk, Barb (Paul) Boger, Nancy (Jim) Felicetta; grandchildren Brian (Michelle), Sharon (Dave), Steven (Kati), Sara, Stephanie, Stephen, Todd, Paul, Anthony, Scott; great grandchildren Emily, Brandon, Elyse, Ryan, Lucy, Sydney, William; siblings John Felegy, Mary Manoleff, Dorothy Zurbey, Ann Kormos, Pete (Darlene) Felegy; brother-in-law John (Helen) Kalina; and many special nieces and nephews. Helen loved her family and was strong in her faith. She enjoyed volunteering at church functions, participating in Mother’s Club, “O” Club, and the Perohi Group, and taking long walks thru the NE neighborhood. Her smile and kind-hearted spirit will always remain with us. She will be deeply missed. The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Langton Place who so lovingly helped care for our mom. Visitation at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH CHAPEL (1918 University Ave. NE) Sunday from 5-8 PM with Vigil Prayers (Parastas) at 7 PM. Funeral service at ST. MARY'S ORTHODOX CATHEDRAL (17th Ave. NE & 5th St.) Monday at 10 AM with visitation one hour prior. Interment St. Mary’s Orthodox Cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral.
