Deloris endured a long journey with Alzheimer's Disease. She was welcomed into heaven by Arnie, her beloved husband of 72 years, who preceded her in death on April 7, 2015.

She is survived by children, Sherry (Don) May, Karon (Duane) Narog, Karol (John) Reinschmidt, Ronnie (Dan) Ceynowa, and Mark (Sue) Ervasti; grandchildren, Brian (Sara) May, John (Lisa) Reinschmidt, Erin (Peter) Probst, Dawn (Shane) Andresen, Scott Narog, Michael (Meghan) Ceynowa, Jason (Katy) Narog, Kelly (Anthony Cerminaro) Ceynowa, Bethany (Scott) Weingart, Kimberly (Aaron) Shidla, Kristine (Paul) Condon, and Katie Ervasti; 23 great-grandchildren; brother Thomas (Frances) Kelly and sister-in-law Ellen Kelly.

She is preceded in death by her grandson, Joseph Mark Ervasti, her sister Colleen (Magrum), brothers Robert, Richard and Darrell Kelly. Her parents Joseph and Doris (Wenzel) Kelly.

Deloris was born on June 12, 1925, in her parent's home on the family farm in Annandale, MN. She came from a strong, hard-working, Irish family. Due to the proximity of their families’ farms, she met Arnie at an early age and fell in love for life. She married him on October 31, 1944 at the age of 17. They moved to North Carolina and Georgia during Arnie's WWII military service and started their family. Deloris loved North Carolina and often spoke wistfully of their time there. Upon completion of Arnie's military service, they returned home.

Deloris was a consummate, meticulous homemaker. She was also an excellent cook and baker; pies were her specialty. Deloris enjoyed playing cards, dancing, and being with Arnie. She was dedicated to her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.

Her work is complete. Reunited with Arnie, her joy begins.

A special thank you to the Reflections staff at The Homestead of Anoka for the exceptional care given to Deloris.

A celebration of Deloris's life will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016 at the Church of St. William (6120 5th St. NE, Fridley).
