The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gerald Eiynck can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolences

Condolence From: Angela Woosley
Condolence: Jerry helped more UMN students than he or I could count! He helped empower them, he was honest with them, and he held them to high standards, which showed them he believed in them. He was a true mentor and will be deeply missed.

Condolence: I met Jerry when I was a little girl at my grandmas funeral and specifically remember how kind and gentle he was to my family. Then I got the pleasure of working with him at Kapala's and Washburn McReavy where he taught me the art of providing comfort to grieving families.
His infectious smile when he would drive around NE in his convertible was awesome. NE has truly lost an incredible funeral director.
My heart goes out to his family and especially the Burns family.

May God bless you and comfort you all.

Condolence: Jerry was fun to work with at Kapala Glodek when I was a student. He would take time to explain the "why" and "how" of what we were doing, to the students. I heard many stories from Jerry about good service as well as what not to do in our profession. Jerry treated his families like they were his, and he served them so well. Deepest sympathy to his family, as well as Michael. He will be missed.

Condolence: I knew Jerry was a character the moment I met him, and he proved to be an incredibly insightful teacher too. I'm eternally grateful for everything I learned from him.

I'm grateful our paths could cross, even if it was only for a short time.

You're in my thoughts.

Condolence: So sorry to hear of Jerry's death. I worked with Jerry years ago at Kapala-Glodak, as an apprentice. We talked about our love of "sweets"
He was a unique and fun individual.

My thoughts & prayers go out to his family.

Condolence: Jerry was very much a funeral director of great service and care. Also an excellent chef and host - a true friend to many! A steady hand at the helm; "Fair winds and following seas."
