TATARYN Dmytro, age 89, passed away on 7/15/2016. Preceded in death by parents, Mychajlo and Maria Tataryn. Survived by loving wife of 61 years, Helen; sons, Orest (Judy) and Andrew (Denise) Tataryn; granchildren, Taras and Aleksa; niece, Madalen Merritt; and family in Ukraine. Dmytro was born July 2, 1927 in Mylowania, Ivano-Frankivskoblast, Ukraine. He was most proud of his Ukrainian heritage, faith and family. He often talked about his experiences leaving home at the age of 17 during WWII and coming to the United States. He was very active in the local Ukrainian community. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Constantine Ukrainian Catholic Church and an active member of the MN chapter of the Ukrainian Congress Committee (UCCA). For several years, Dmytro served as the director of the St. Constantine Ukrainian school. He will be greatly missed. Visitation at Kozlak-Radulovich Chapel 1918 University Ave. Ne, Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM with Panachyda at 7PM. Requiem Divine Liturgy at St. Constantine Ukrainian Catholic Church, 515 University Ave NE, Wednesday at 9:30 AM with visitation one half hour prior. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. Constantine Ukrainian Catholic Church.
