Melgren, Mary Elizabeth
Age 84 of Blaine, peacefully lost her 20-year battle with COPD, surrounded by her loving family on January 28, 2017. Preceded in death by loving husband of 51 years, Raymond; parents; 7 brothers & 1 sister. Survived by children, Lisa (Mike) Abramshuk & Ron Melgren; devoted grandmother to Nicholas & Joseph Abramshuk & Josie Melgren; brothers, Clifford Tollefson of Moorhead, MN & Ozzie Tollefson of Underwood, MN; brother-in-law, Earl (Rose) Mellgren; sister-in-law, Loretta Hagerman; many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. Mary graduated from Fosston High School & then Bemidji Teachers College. She taught school in Wadena, Bagley & Columbia Heights. Special thanks to Fairview Home Care & Hospice and caregivers Kim & Terry Littlefield, Mike & Rose Husby for their outstanding care. Visitation at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH BLAINE CHAPEL (107th Ave. NE & Hwy. 65) Thursday from 5-8 PM. Funeral service at ST. TIMOTHY’S LUTHERAN CHURCH (825 – 51st Ave. NE) Friday at 10 AM with visitation one hour prior. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the American Lung Association.Arrangements with Kozlak-Radulovich Chapel, 763-783-1100.
