Armstrong, James A. "Jim", age 79 of Circle Pines, formerly Spring Lake Park and Brainerd,
MN, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Feb. 15, 2017. Jim retired from Bauer Welding. He was a Boy Scout and Girl Scout Leader and an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, camping and RV Travel. Preceded in death by parents, Lee and Ina Armstrong; and sister, Susan Schmidt. Survived by loving wife of 57 years, Marlys; daughters, Sandee (Tom) Madigan and Karen (Terry) Kraabel; grandchildren, Tricia, Joshua, Katelyn and Brent; great-granddaughter, Hazel; sister, Lois Armstrong; brother, John (Darlene) Armstrong; sister, June (Dick) Zwart; many nieces and nephews. Memorial service 1 1 :00 A.M. Monday, Feb. 20, 2017 with visitation one hour prior at Christ Lutheran Church, 641 — 89th Ave. NE, Blaine. Interment 11 A.M. Tuesday Feb. 21 st at Emmanual Lutheran Church Cemetery, 2088 Highway 70, Brunswick, MN. Memorials may be directed to Brainerd Lakes Fishing Has No Boundaries (FHNB) or The American Eagle Foundation.
