Age 99 of SE Mpls. & St. Anthony. Anne was born 10/30/1917 to immigrant parents from Slovakia, Andrew & Mary Uram (Murin) the fifth of eight siblings. She is preceded in death by parents & five brothers & one sister. Survived by sister & best friend, Mary Ann Uram; numerous nieces, nephews, great & great-great nieces & nephews; other relatives in Slovakia & Canada. Anne’s interests were varied; she was an admirer of quilts, an avid bowler & golfer, traveled extensively, enjoyed reading & Renaissance Art. She was a member of the Women’s International Bowlers Congress, The Rusin Association, The American Women’s Business Association Viking Chapter where she was voted Woman of the Year and was a life member of St. John’s Byzantine Catholic Church. Anne worked as an executive secretary for many years and enjoyed animals, especially birds. Whenever she was asked how she was, her response was always the same, “I’m getting older by the minute. I’ve been blessed, God is good to me.” Funeral service at ST. JOHN’S BYZANTINE CATHOLIC CHURCH (2215 - 3rd St. NE) Monday at 10 AM with visitation one hour prior. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
