Obituary for Buford Wayne Nash

Buford Wayne Nash
Nash, Wayne (68) passed away suddenly on May 24th. Known to many as “Bubba” or “Too Tall”, he is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kim, son, John Nash, daughter, Tiffany Nash (Nate Crea), son, Mister Nash (orange tabby), sister, Fran Schmieman, brother-in-law, Bob Davis, stepmother, Alvarine Kluck, and two nieces and two nephews. At 7’1”, Wayne played high school and collegiate basketball. For those who knew him, it would come as no surprise that he probably still holds the record for arguing with refs and fouling out of games. He spent his professional career (40+ years) in the lighting industry and cherished his many social and professional friendships cultivated while traveling throughout the nation. Wayne had a larger than life personality. His sense of humor was legendary. His collection of “dad” jokes and other often “inappropriate” tales were repeated (often) to family, friends, and strangers! Some of his stories may have only been half true, but they were always 100% entertaining. He called Minneapolis home for 25 years, but he was a proud Texan reflected by his southern drawl. He will be missed every day by too many to mention and never forgotten. The family will greet guests and share stories at Kozlak Radulovich Funeral Chapel, on Saturday, May 27th at 11 AM with a visitation one hour prior. Memorials preferred to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
