Obituary for Kristen Nicole Kaminski
KAMINSKI, KRISTEN N.
Age 33 of Coon Rapids, passed peacefully after a 2-year battle with brain cancer on May 27, 2017. Preceded in death by niece, Mackenzie & grandparents, Elda Miltz and Willard Lundquist. Survived by husband, Christopher; beloved children, Isaac & Leah; parents, Bruce & Julie Miltz; siblings, Danielle (Joshua) Cash, Samantha Miltz & Zachary Miltz; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Stanley & Jill Kaminski; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Nicholas (Alison) Kaminski, Sara (Mike) Peterson & Brianna Kaminski; grandparents, JoAnne White (Don) Strandlund & Milne (Shirley) Miltz; nieces & nephews, Wyatt, Alyssa, Bailey, Makayla, & Brynlee; a host of other family & friends.
Kristen attended North Branch Senior High School and after graduating in 2002, Kristen finished a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Communications from Metropolitan State University in 2007. While Kristen worked on finishing her degree, she married her high school sweetheart, Chris, on a cold June 9, 2006 at an outdoor wedding in Lindstrom, Minnesota. They moved into their Coon Rapids home with one-month old Isaac in June 2009. After living in Coon Rapids for two years, their daughter Leah was born in June 2011.
Kristen loved her career as Assistant Director at Children’s Discovery Academy in Vadnais Heights, where she would be heavily involved in the marketing program and the day-to-day operations of the childcare center. Her attitude toward her work was always so positive and admirable. Her coworkers were always impressed with her professionalism, integrity, and high level of skill in her job.
Kristen loved spending time with her husband and children – they were her world. She enjoyed going to the zoo, parks, and anything else that put smiles on her children’s faces. She was an excellent mother, spending time and energy teaching them what she knows about life and God.
Kristen was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister and will be missed greatly.
Memorial service at EAGLE BROOK CHURCH – Anoka Campus (1100 US Hwy. 10) Thursday, June 8th at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts preferred to the family/Kristen’s children’s college funds.
