Nancy Ann Davidson
Though there is sadness in our hearts, we rejoice that God has called his faithful servant home to her Heavenly reward on September 23, 2017 at the age of 71. Her body now healed, she can now run through the fields and sing with the angels. Forgiven, forgiving, and her bucket-list complete, Nancy died contently at home surrounded by her loved ones. To have known Nancy is to have been gracefully in her prayers and her in yours. Together, your prayers have helped many miracles come true for some very special people over the years. A kind and gentle woman with a “Sunny” smile, Nancy touched many lives, and by example, has inspired others to live in devotion to God. She was proud to call Church of St. Peter in North St. Paul her home Parish and was a dutiful member of the congregation having a life-long commitment to such things as cleaning the church with her young children, Eucharistic Adoration, Eucharistic Minister and Reader. She had an artistic quality that enriched our lives: as a child, she and her father would play their accordions all around her hometown of North St. Paul and beyond; she taught herself to play the piano and her children remember the beautiful music that filled their childhood home in Oakdale; Nancy relished the quiet past-time of painting with watercolor and colored pencil drawings, her family and friends will cherish the gifts she shared. She also had an eye for photographing beautiful sunsets and the nature that surrounded her whether during her time living in Aberdeen South Dakota or spending time at her daughter's peaceful Wisconsin country home. She especially enjoyed her time working at Auntie Clare's Doll Hospital where her artistic talents were used to carefully restore many treasured dolls for people to enjoy again. She has been reunited in heaven with her husband, Neil; parents, Roger Sundgaard and Margaret Hoehne. Survived by children, AnneMarie (Pete) Klimek, Todd (Kristi), Sara Davidson (Jeff Hansen), Teresa (Donald) Mulgrew, Troy, and Brian (Tami); 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill, Michael (Vero Gomez), Jerry (Evelyn) and Eric (Nancy); her favorite sister, Marnie (Lee) Marks; and a very special person in her life, Gloria (Peter) Castner; brother in-law, lee (Jeanine) Davidson; sister in-law, Ellen Connor; numerous nieces and nephews; special cousins, the Shereks; the Irish cousins; and many dear friends – especially Kris (Blake) Rehfeld. Nancy’s life will be honored with a Mass of Christian Burial 12 Noon Tuesday, October 3rd with visitation one hour prior at Church of St. Peter, 2600 Margaret St. N, North St. Paul. Her life will be celebrated with a time of sharing at the reception immediately following Mass at church. Nancy will be buried privately alongside her husband, Neil at Union Cemetery in Maplewood. Together, may they rest in peace.
