Richard “Rick” James Schwab Jr., died surrounded by his loving family on Monday, October 2, 2017 following a three year battle with cancer. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Laura for 42 years and together raised two devoted sons, Derek & Aaron. Rick worked for the Star Tribune for 40 years as a master electrician. He was dedicated to his family, had a zest for life and above all, made a lasting impression on everyone he met. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Richard & Caroline Schwab. He is survived by his wife, Laura; two sons, Derek & Aaron (Fiancée Kirstyn Olson); sister, Marge Schwab (John Christensen); Laura’s parents, Roger & Marlene Pyle; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Renae & Bill Kabes niece, Ashly (Kyle) Spitzer; nephews, Brandon & Tyler Kabes, along with many cherished relatives & friends. Memorial service at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH MAPLE GROVE CHAPEL (13745 Reimer Dr.) Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 12 Noon with visitation one hour prior.
