Obituary for Andra Selochnie Sawh

SAWH
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 6, 2017.
Andra was born on June 12, 1959, in Mahaicony, Guyana, South America.  She had a radiant zest for life, and thoroughly enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her friends and family.  Her summers were frequently spent travelling, while many of her days and weekends were spent chasing after her grandson.
Her professional ambition knew no limits.  She received her BS in biochemistry at the University of New Brunswick, Canada, in 1984, and went on to obtain her BS in nursing (1999) and MS in nursing (2004) at the College of St. Catherine’s in St. Paul, MN.  She currently worked as a nurse practitioner with the neurosurgical team at the VA hospital in Minneapolis, MN.
Andra is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Irene Ramnarine, and sister, Pauline Ramdas.  She is survived by her loving husband Mitchell; children (grandchildren) Christie and Mark Newman (Cameron) and Raun and Cyndi Sawh; sisters Rita (Doleep) Singh and Carmen Hemraj; brothers Vibert (Savi) Ramnarine and Cecil (Radha) Churaman; and countless relatives and close friends.
Her family will host services at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH CHAPEL (1918 University Avenue NE, Minneapolis, MN) on Saturday, December 9, 2017.  A Hindu prayer service will begin at 08:30am, followed by a visitation at 10:30am and Christian service at 12:00pm.
