Maurice LeRoy  Murray
Maurice L. Murray, age 82 of Wellstead of Rogers, passed away peacefully following complications of Dementia. Maurice founded and built Spectrum Inc. of Minneapolis in 1964 and retired in 1998. He was well respected in the printing business. He cherished spending precious time with family and friends while enjoying hunting, fishing, his lake home on Mille Lacs and his home in Arizona. He especially loved his grandchildren and often said, “Grandchildren are so much fun, I wish I would have had them first.” His sense of humor will always be remembered and sadly missed. Maurice was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley; parents; sister, Janette Haynes; brother, Gerald Murray; and great-grandson, Trevin Sireno. Survived by children, Terri (Redgie) Reznicek, Jeff (Colleen) Murray, Kathy (Mike) Schultz, Greg (Leigh) Murray and Steve (Debbie) Murray; 12 grandchildren, Jackie, Ben, Shane, Jacob, Ashley, Erica, Julie, Jason, Matt, Jennifer, Megan and Austin; 2 step-grandchildren, Angela and Michael; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; siblings, Lola Sheppard, Jim (Sharon) Murray, Ellen (Jim) Thompson and Chuck (Deb) Murray; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to send a special thank you to the wonderful, caring staff at Wellstead of Rogers and also North Hospice – especially to his Hospice Nurse, Lou, whom also lovingly cared for Shirley while in hospice. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017, with visitation one hour prior, at ST. JOSEPH THE WORKER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7180 Hemlock Lane N, Maple Grove, MN. A private family interment at Pine Island Cemetery will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be designated to North Hospice (www.northmemorial.com/donate).
