Danko, Bernice Tyo, age 97 of Fridley, passed away January 29, 2018. Preceded in death by husband, John J. Danko; parents, Edward and Eva Tyo; and 4 siblings. Survived by children, Joyce (Charles R.) Stock, Mary Ruth (Dr. Robert) Carris, Anne Danko (Howard Banford), Paul Danko (Jean Dudley); sister, Dorothy T. Tyo; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends. Bernice served as an RN in the Army Nurses Corps in the European Theater during World War II and later in Japan and in US Stations. Funeral service 10:00 am Saturday, February 10, 2018, at St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church (2215 Third St. NE, Minneapolis, MN) with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to charity of your choice in Bernice's name.
