KALINA, JOHN A.
Age 94 of Minneapolis. Preceded in death by parents, Alexander & Mary; brother, Bill (Helen). Survived by loving wife of 70 years, Helen; children, Lawrence (Marilyn), Richard (Jenny) & Patricia (Steve) Henke; grandchildren, Jessica (Tom) Walek, Andy (Stacie) Kroll, Brian & Abbie Kalina; Kris (John) Paulson, Mike Henke (Fiancée Becky) & Alex Henke; great-grandchildren, Jenna, Rachel & Mitchell Guarneri, Joe & Ben Kroll also one more on the way; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Samsel; many nieces, nephews & other relatives. John served in the Coast Guard during WWII and was a retired employee of the City of Minneapolis - Dept. of Inspections. Special thanks to the staff of The Legacy of St. Anthony & Allina Hospice for their outstanding care. Funeral service at ST. MARY’S ORTHODOX CATHEDRAL (17th Ave. NE & 5th St.) Monday at 10:30 AM with visitation one hour prior. Interment St. Mary’s Orthodox Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Cathedral.
