Obituary for Rose E. Spaeth

Rose E. Spaeth, of Blaine, passed away on March 12, 2018, just one day shy of her 97th birthday. Rose and her husband, Ray, lived on several different farms in the Sauk Centre area in their early years, finally settling in Anoka, MN. She loved to Polka. When she wasn't out dancing, she would put polka music on and dance around her town home holding a pillow. Early in her marriage, she was an avid quilter and then her daughter taught her to crochet. She only finished the 8th grade because she was needed on the farm. She received her GED when she was in her 60's and was very proud of that accomplishment. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; 2 brothers; and 6 sisters. She is survived by children, Jan Sumner, Duane (Maxine), and Darrel (Joni); 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-granddaughters.
