Are You a Massage Therapist?

Back when 3M printed a monthly newspaper, I had placed an ad for my services as a massage therapist.  I got a call one day from a woman (Bunny) who saw the ad and wondered if I would come to their home to give both her and her husband a massage.  The first time I went there I got to meet Bunny and Peter, and their two Springer Spaniel dogs and their two Birman cats.  Being that I am an animal lover I knew we would get along wonderfully!  That first massage was probably 13-14 years ago, and we've been friends ever since!  They would schedule a massage with me monthly, and would often schedule it at a time when something special was going on.  After the massage they would invite me to have a treat and celebrate the special occassion with them.  That's the kind of inclusive people Bunny and Peter are.  When I first met Peter he had worked at 3M but wasn't working there currently.  A few years later I happened to be working in the 3M Contact Center and we were hiring for a technical position that was in the same area Peter had a lot of knowledge and experience.  We hired Peter and he was back at 3M!  What a wonerful day for the company and for Peter!  I'm thrilled I was able to help him come back to the company he loved.  I will miss Peter's stories, humor, gentle soul and thoughtful ways.  But I am a better person for knowing such a great guy.  All from a small ad in the 3M newpaper and a phone call asking - are you a massage therapist?
