The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Richard Shea can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: E. Nicholas Genovese
Condolence: Richard left behind at SDSU brimming memories of a gracious, full-of-life, dedicated student who loved learning and the classical world. I am so very saddened by this cruel loss, far too early, of a truly good and loving man. I was privileged to be his professor and will remember him and his lovely family as I last saw them at his commencement.

Condolence: I can't exactly remember when I met Rick. I know we spent time in Atlantic. Sorry to hear about your cancer. I hope you are resting in peace.

Condolence: Kate & Carmela,

I feel the deepest of sympathy for you both and for your loss, which cannot be measured.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can ever be of any help to you in any way.

The one bright spot: how fortunate Richard was to have had you both in his life. I know how thankful he was, and how he loved you both with a depth of love beyond reckoning. I find this thought comforting, as I'm sure you do as well. I'm thankful for your friendship, as I have always been for Richard's. Best wishes to you both always.

Condolence: Kate & Carmela,

Although I never got a chance to meet you in person, my heart goes out to you both. I will cherish the memories of Ricky as a boy in California. I was always proud when hearing from Mike of what a fine man he grew to become. My thoughts are with you...

Love always,
Uncle Rick
