NOVAK, JOAN O.
Age 92, died peacefully with children by her side on Mother's Day. Preceded in death by loving husband, David Sr. Survived by children: David Novak Jr., Cathy (Jim) Barker & Christy Novak; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary G. Nelson & beloved dog, Honey. Joan was a self motivated academic who loved to question and listen, an artist with clay and chalk, a poet with words from the heart, a mother and friend. Joan's family extends a sincere thank you to the staff and caregivers at Keystone Senior Living as well as the Interim Hospice team. Funeral service at St. Mary's Orthodox Cemetery Chapel (3025 Stinson Blvd. NE) Monday at 11 Am with visitation one hour prior. Interment St. Mary’s Orthodox Cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral, Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute or the Animal Humane Society.
