Obituary for George Edward Marvin

MARVIN
George E., age 67, of Coon Rapids. Preceded by sister: Jennifer. Survived by loving wife: Dawne, sister: Margery Marvin, brothers: Thomas and John (Kay) Marvin, foster children: Christa Danko-Schaller (Joseph) and Darian Danko (Fred) and many special nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors. Passed away at home on 8/26/17 following complications from esophageal cancer. George was a longtime bartender at Stasui’s in NE Mpls, proprietor at Mayslack’s and Donnatelli’s, and most recently employed at Mystic Lake Casino. He was proud Vietnam Navy veteran. In retirement he enjoyed time spent at the lake, playing cards and taking care of his dogs. He will be remembered for his many guided trips to Las Vegas, his devotion to family and his big heart. Visitation at KOZLAK-RADULOVICH CHAPEL 1918 University Ave. NE Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM. Inurnment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Wounded Warrior’s Project or Animal Humane Society. Special thanks to nephew, Steve, great-niece Amy, Jeff and Cecilia Weyek, Louise, 2W Mercy nursing staff and Allina Hospice.
